A Million Memories – Our First Charity Concert Was Everything We Dreamed Of

An Evening with The Take That Experience

Saturday 30th May 2026 will always hold a special place in the history of My Special Event.

After months of planning, designing and organising every last detail, we proudly welcomed guests to Pagham Village Hall for A Million Memories, our very first charity concert in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society, featuring the UK’s No.1 Take That tribute act, The Take That Experience.

What unfolded was an evening filled with incredible live music, laughter, friendship and memories that will stay with us forever.

A Concert with a Personal Meaning

This event was much more than a concert.

It was inspired by the memory of my beloved Nan and Grandad, who both lived with Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Like so many families, ours has experienced first-hand the heartbreak these illnesses bring.

Music has always been something that brings people together, lifts spirits, and creates lasting memories. Following the loss of another of my grandparents, attending a performance by The Take That Experience reminded me just how powerful live music can be. That evening reignited my passion for creating events that make people smile, and from that moment, My Special Event’s charity concert was born.

My aim wasn’t simply to raise money—it was to raise awareness, encourage conversations, and support families affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia while giving everyone an unforgettable evening.

Creating the Experience

Every My Special Event concert is designed to be much more than watching a performance.

From the moment guests arrived, we wanted them to feel they were part of something special.

The venue was transformed with beautifully styled tables dressed in elegant colour themes, each named after a classic Take That song and finished with bespoke centrepieces created especially for the evening.

Guests enjoyed delicious wood-fired pizzas, waffles and milkshakes from fantastic local caterers, captured memories in the selfie pod, watched live illustrations being created throughout the evening and had the opportunity to win exclusive raffle prizes, including a Meet & Greet with The Take That Experience after the show.

Every supplier involved helped create an evening that reflected exactly what My Special Event is all about—bringing people together through unforgettable experiences.

An Incredible Team Behind the Scenes

Although I organise and produce every concert, events like this are never achieved alone.

I am incredibly fortunate to work with an amazing team of trusted local suppliers, many of whom I first met through our Vows & Views Wedding Fairs. Over the years they have become much more than business contacts—they have become friends.

Together with my wonderful husband, my parents and our incredible team, everyone worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure every guest enjoyed a fantastic evening.

To every supplier, volunteer, performer and supporter—thank you. This event simply would not have happened without you.

A Night We’ll Never Forget

The atmosphere throughout the evening was incredible.

Guests sang every word, danced the night away and created memories with family and friends that will last a lifetime.

The Take That Experience once again proved why they are regarded as the UK’s leading tribute to one of Britain’s most iconic bands. Their energy, vocals, choreography and stage presence had everyone on their feet from beginning to end.

Even better, together we raised over £1,600 for the Alzheimer’s Society, helping to support the charity’s vital work while honouring those living with Dementia and remembering loved ones we’ve lost.

For my very first concert, I honestly couldn’t have wished for a better evening.

Looking Ahead

The success of A Million Memories has inspired even bigger plans for the future.

Each year, My Special Event will proudly organise an annual charity concert in support of the Alzheimer’s Society, alongside two additional live music concerts bringing outstanding tribute acts and entertainment to our local community.

Our next event sees the return of Marc Dillon in An Evening with The Robbie Williams Experience, before welcoming more incredible performers over the coming years, including Andrew Bourn, Splash Showgroup and Nicola Marie Harris.

And in May 2028, we’re delighted to welcome The Take That Experience back to Pagham Village Hall for another unforgettable evening raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

I can’t wait to welcome you to many more My Special Event concerts in the years ahead.
