The Mother of All Mothers

🌟 Introducing Co-Host and Mother of the Host with the Most – Yvonne Edwards 🌟

Behind every great event is a team of dedicated, passionate people—and for A Million Memories Charity Concert, one of those people just happens to be the mother of the organiser herself.

We’re delighted to introduce Yvonne Edwards, proud mum to event organiser Zoe Pniewski, and co-host of this very special evening taking place on Saturday, 30th May 2026 at Pagham Village Hall.

A Duo in More Ways Than One

Yvonne and Zoe share more than just a mother-daughter bond—they also share a love of music, performance, and giving back to the community. Many will recognise them as the voices behind the Generations Singing Duo, a heartfelt musical collaboration that has seen them perform together at countless charity concerts and community events.

Their musical journey began through their involvement in COS Musical Theatre (formerly Crawley Operatic Society), where their mutual love for musicals and the magic of the stage found a natural home. Whether it’s harmonising to beloved show tunes or helping run local fundraising events, Yvonne and Zoe have always found joy in making memories together, on and off the stage.

Behind the Scenes with Yvonne

Yvonne is far more than just a performer, she’s a constant support behind the scenes, offering her wisdom, encouragement, and a healthy dose of humour to Zoe’s event planning adventures. The pair meet regularly over a good cuppa or two to chat all things events—meetings that usually include plenty of creative ideas, laughter, and possibly a cheeky biscuit!

Although retired, Yvonne remains incredibly active and engaged. After years of hard work in various roles, including at local councils, a dry cleaners, and as a dinner supervisor at Zoe’s primary school, she’s now embracing a well-earned retirement while keeping busy with her many hobbies.

A few of her favourites? LEGO building (yes, really!) with her husband Paul, watching classic films, reading, and enjoying the occasional holiday getaway—sometimes with Paul, and sometimes for a bit of mother-daughter downtime with Zoe.

A Concert Close to Her Heart

A Million Memories is more than just another event for Yvonne—it’s a deeply personal tribute. The concert is held in loving memory of her mum, Olive (Zoe’s nan), who sadly passed away in 2023. The chosen date for the concert holds great emotional significance for the family, adding even more meaning to an evening already filled with love, music, and reflection.

While Zoe may be the Take That superfan in the family, Yvonne has developed a soft spot for the tribute band over time and always enjoys seeing the tribute band in action. But her own musical favourites come from a slightly different era—think Neil Sedaka, Barry Manilow, Rod Stewart, Simply Red, The Eagles, and of course, the Jersey Boys.

Her love of timeless music and her kind, creative spirit make her the perfect co-host for an event that’s all about connection, community, and remembering those we love.

More Than Just a Mum

Yvonne Edwards is more than just Zoe’s mum, she’s a co-creator, a performer, a sounding board, and a cherished part of the A Million Memories family. Her warmth and genuine passion for people and performance are what help make this event so special.

As co-host, Yvonne will be welcoming guests, keeping the night flowing, and no doubt sharing a few memorable moments of her own. Whether you’ve seen her on stage or behind the scenes, you’ll know that Yvonne brings a quiet strength and heartfelt touch to everything she’s involved in.

We’re so proud to have her by our side.

Join Yvonne, Zoe, and a host of wonderful performers and guests on Saturday, 30th May 2026 for an evening of music, memories, and meaning—all in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society.

Tickets will be available soon—stay tuned and come be part of something truly special. 💜
