Routine or no Routine that is the Question.

Why is it important to establish a Routine?

It’s important for everyone, including Event Planners, to have a routine. A routine helps us create structure, predictability, and stability in our lives. It allows us to know what to expect and what is expected of us. By doing so, it helps reduce stress and anxiety. Even if various jobs and roles come with different pressures and stresses, learning how to build them into our daily routines and deal with them is the key to success and enjoyment in what we do. If we enjoy what we do, the stress and strain of the role seem less important.

Developing Habits

Having a routine can help us develop good habits and manage our time more effectively, which is key in the role of an Event Planner. We are in charge of organizing clients’ events, suppliers, and lots of people from different industries and backgrounds, so we have to adapt to cater to everyone. Staying positive about what we are doing and remaining organized allows for time to sort things out when they don’t go as planned. Overrunning while being disorganized can lead to unnecessary stress and strain, and the whole atmosphere of the room can change, sucking the enjoyment out of what we are doing.

Overall, having a routine can help us feel more in control of our lives and reduce the feeling of being overwhelmed by daily tasks and responsibilities. It’s important to remember that developing a routine is a personal process, and what works for one person may not work for another. Experiment with different routines until you find one that works for you and stick to it.
