2024 is a Leap Year and yes ladies this is your chance if you choose to break with tradition and propose to your partner. I know you don’t have to leave it until February 29th but it seems to be a special day for some and has been made the day that people are more likely to propose to their partners.
A little different 4 years ago
The last Leap Year was 2020 and we all know what happened several weeks after that, so this year it is the time to shine and do things, hopefully, without a pandemic getting in the way of the proceedings.
What’s a Leap Year?
A Leap Year is a year with one extra day so instead of 365 days we have 366 days, the extra one being in February and ironically just after Valentine’s Day (14th February).
Is there a Right or Wrong Way?
Proposing to your loved one can be a very stressful but also a very emotional experience. Will they say Yes or not? how will it go?, how will I store the ring before proposing? Have I got a ring in the right size? All these questions that run around your head can add to the stress of organising it.
There is no right or wrong way to propose. My first husband proposed in the bedroom (don’t be rude!) he was kneeling on the floor as I walked into the room with a duvet wrapped around him as it was flipping cold. My second husband took the more romantic route and proposed to me at a wonderful venue called Highclere Castle. You can read all about that special proposal on my website www.myspecialevent.co.uk.
If you would like My Special Event to help you with your special day, whether it be in February or beyond then get in touch. We can organise your decorations and put you in touch with a supplier or two to make your day “special” like you.
